Paid Work

 

As well as volunteering and working in the industry I have also had my fair share of paid jobs working from a paper boy to a waiter at a local hotel. Below are the jobs and a bit more information about them…

Catering Assistant

Worked for two summers at a children’s adventure park in the catering outlets. The job involved me being both front and back of house where I would have a range of roles from till operator to cooking the food. The job helped give me a better understanding of working on a daily bases in a hands on work environment and interacting with adults and children helping the public with any problems they faced.

Hotel Wroxham

13/06/2012 – 17/09/2012

Waiter

Worked in a local hotel for the 2012 summer as a waiter and also worked behind the bar throughout the day. A number of my roles involved setting up the restaurant, providing teas/coffees, operating the till, supplying food and cleaning the restaurant area. Also worked in the bar area providing drinks and again cleaning the area.

2006 – Present

Administrative Assistant

Occasional administrative work for local charity including mail collation and distribution. I have been working freelance since 2006 helping them out when they need to send out large amounts of mail such as for the end of season annual review or for advertising events.

Paper Boy

10/2006 – 03/2010

Started when I was 13 and worked monday to saturday every week delivering the morning papers to my local area for 3 1/2 years. The round involved delivering to over 30 houses a range of tabloid, broadsheets and magazines as well as bills once a month.
